The "Rope Horse" — DNA outside the flask
submitted by JimboIsDaMan
A reader tipped us off to a "rope horse" — a horse stretched into a long ribbon by pulling a gene out of the CRISPR flask into the gray margin. The community calls the underlying trick "DNA outside the flask."
Reported steps (unverified)
- Force the game into windowed mode and resize the window
- Drag a gene from the CRISPR panel out into the gray margin
- Quit the game
- Head outside and lasso the result from the hot-air balloon
We haven't reproduced this on our own machine yet, so it stays a community report — but it's no longer just word of mouth. The method is backed by a real video tutorial and a Reddit write-up (below), and multiple players independently describe the same "DNA outside the flask" behavior. The submitter's first video link had a one-character typo; we tracked down the working one. Land it on camera yourself and we'll bump this to Video-verified.

Related, and real: the community's sub-second speed runs. Different trick, same spirit of breaking the game in half.
