What this site is
horseygame.net is a fan-made reference wiki and toolset for players of Horsey Game. We are not the game's developer or publisher, and this site is not official or affiliated with them — Horsey Game and its assets belong to their respective owners. What we do is document how the game actually works and build tools that make it easier to play.
The site is written for two kinds of player: the newcomer who just reached the ranch and wants a clear first-night route, and the optimizer chasing record races through the game's GCAT genome system. Everything here is original writing and original tooling built by closely analysing cited playthroughs and community sources, with every substantial figure traced back to a timestamped video or a named post.

How we research and verify
Game mechanics are easy to get wrong, so we grade what we publish. Every substantial claim is tiered by how strongly it is proven — on-screen video proof is never treated the same as an unverified comment. When we get something wrong, we fix it in the open.

Who runs the site and how it is funded
horseygame.net is written and maintained by Jack Shi, an independent publisher who can be reached through the contact page. It is a hobby reference, not a studio. The site shows advertising through Google AdSense to cover hosting and the time it takes to keep the guides current, and ad placement never changes what a guide says. Visitors in regions covered by privacy law are asked for consent before advertising cookies are set; the privacy policy explains what is collected.
Our editorial standards in practice
Every guide is held to the same checks. First, each claim that could be wrong is tied to a source: a timestamp in a named video, or a named community post. Second, claims are given a verification tier, from on-screen proof down to unverified community reports, and the tier is shown on the page. Third, numbers that readers can recompute, such as the DNA round trips in the player genome case study, are shown with their inputs so they can be checked. Fourth, speculation is labelled as speculation and kept out of headline statements. Fifth, mistakes are corrected openly: the corrections log records each change with the reason, including cases where the homepage overstated what the guides could support.
What this site is not
It is not an official wiki and it does not speak for the developer. Prices, patch behaviour and quest rules can change when the game updates, so read each guide as true for the version it was checked against; if something has changed, tell us through the contact page.
